The Links at Spanish Bay®
is coming back.
Gil Hanse — the architect behind the Olympic Club renovation and Bethpage Black restoration — has spent the past year redesigning one of the most atmospheric links courses in American golf. It reopens April 17, 2027. Join the waitlist and we'll secure your group's tee times the moment bookings open.
Why this matters
The Links at Spanish Bay® was originally designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., Tom Watson, and Sandy Tatum — a true links layout carved through the Del Monte Forest dunes along the Pacific coastline. It's the only course in the Pebble Beach Resorts® portfolio with a genuine links character: firm, fast, wind-exposed fairways and the sound of the ocean on every hole.
Gil Hanse doesn't renovate courses to modernise them. He renovates them to reveal what was always there. His work at The Olympic Club restored lost green complexes. His Bethpage Black restoration gave the course back its original ferocity. What he's doing at Spanish Bay is a full reimagining — not a cosmetic refresh.
When it reopens, Spanish Bay will be one of the most anticipated tee times in American golf. Group slots — particularly for 8+ players — will be the first to go. Pebble Beach Resorts® manages demand tightly. The groups who book early play Spanish Bay in its first season. The rest wait.
We've been booking groups at Pebble Beach Resorts® courses for years through our IAGTO partnership. The moment bookings open for the redesigned Spanish Bay, we'll reach out to everyone on this list with tee time options and group pricing — before they're available to the public.
